Carrick a rede rope bridge is a suspension bridge located near Ballintoy, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. This bridge is at a height of 25 meters above sea level and joins a small island, where there is a salmon fishery on the coast. The area has outstanding natural beauty with stunning views of Rathlin Island and Scotland. This area is an Area of Special Scientific Interest with the unique geology, flora and fauna. Underneath, large caves are visible, which once served as home to boat builders and shelter during storms.
