The Bogside is a neighbourhood of Derry. It is located just outside the city walls and is known for the events of the 60s and 70s, such as The Battle of the Bogside, Bloody Sunday and the establishment of Free Derry. Currently there are murals representative of those events made by local artists, the Bogside Artists.
